Extending Your Trip to Colorado

September is, by far, our favorite month of the year in Colorado. The weather is great. The leaves are turning. If you’d like to extend your trip to see more of Colorado in the autumn season, here are some top suggestions of what you might want to see:

Rocky-Mountain-National-Park

Rocky Mountain National Park

RMNP is north and west of Golden, offering a lovely drive to Estes Park, Colorado, a mountain town that is the gateway to this spectacular national park. Enjoy hikes, mountain lakes, spectacular views…and be sure to spend some time in the town of Estes Park. Estes has plenty of restaurants & one-of-a-kind shops.

Lake-Dillon-on-Way-to-Vail

I-70 Corridor Ski Resorts

You don’t have to ski to enjoy the ski resorts along I-70. There are opportunities to eat, shop, sit by a rushing mountain stream, mountain bike, or take the gondola to the top of the mountain. By driving up I-70, you can visit Breckenridge or Vail in just a couple of hours.

Denver-Skyline-in-Autumn

City of Denver, Colorado

The bustling city of Denver features all sorts of recreational opportunities.

  • LoDo (lower downtown area) features historic buildings, the Coors Baseball Field, shops & restaurants.
  • Historic Larimer Square is a charming, one-block area in downtown Denver that is Denver’s oldest street, and it burned down 3 times in the 1800s. Larimer Square is a hub for dining & shopping.
  • The State Capitol is on the southern edge of downtown, known for its gold-plated dome and elegant, historic architecture.
  • The Denver Mint is located on the edge of downtown Denver, with a rich past related to U.S. coinage.
  • Denver Botanic Gardens is located in Capitol Hill just south and east of the Capitol…and there’s much more to see in Denver.

The Locution Systems team looks forward to hosting you at the Locution User Conference 2020. It is a great time of the year to visit. You will learn a lot!
