Locution EmailAlert:
Supplemental Alerting Via Email
There are certain types of
incidents that require the notification of more than fire fighters
and emergency
medical personnel. In the event of an emergency
at high-profile facilities such as airports, nuclear plants, water treatment
facilities, and more, a wide variety of non-emergency personnel may need
to be alerted. Locution Systems' EmailAlert allows dispatchers to
continue to focus on alerting emergency response personnel, while also
notifying non-emergency
personnel of the incident. EmailAlert takes the same dispatch coming in from
standard computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems, which then routes to the
Locution Systems server in a public safety
department’s emergency communications center. Once the message hits the
Locution Systems server, the message automatically is translated to a text-based
email (along with translation into the automated dispatch spoken by the computer),
and this email can be relayed via email to non-emergency personnel who need
to know about specific, high-profile incidents.
Unlike some email alerting systems
which severely limit the number of personnel
who can be notified, the number of email notifications that can be sent via
Locution Systems' EmailAlert is virtually limitless.
