CADVoice® Sends 12 Dispatches to 12 Stations In Milliseconds
A major West Coast U.S. city installed Locution Systems fire station alerting system. After CADVoice® was installed, a structure fire in a warehouse was called in to the communications center. It became clear that the structure fire was going to require more units than originally thought. As the fire continued to escalate, CADVoice® dispatched a total of 12 units to deal with the emergency. After the event, we conducted a review of the log files, and found the following statistic: 12 automatic dispatches were sent to 12 different units and all dispatches were sent in less than a tenth of a second using the Locution Systems fire station alerting system. This was possible because Locution’s fire station alerting system, CADVoice® Fire Station, can dispatch simultaneously, i.e. multiple dispatches can be sent to multiple responding units at the same time throughout the department. This capability significantly reduces call stacking during times of high-volume activity in the communications center.
