Statement of Values/Philosophies

When you are considering doing business with a company, it's important to understand the values, philosophies, and beliefs that make the company tick. Knowing what a company's values goes a long way in helping you understand what the working relationship will be like. With this in mind, we've briefly outlined our core values and ethics, and we do our best to live by these values every hour of every day.

1. Our number one mission is to improve response times, and save lives. It's very fulfilling to know that we've developed technology that literally saves lives and property. Nine times out of ten, faster response times equal better outcomes. So we never lay awake at night wondering if we’re making a difference in the world, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

2. Our number two mission is to reduce stress for dispatchers, and fire/EMS personnel. Until they know more about our products, some dispatchers, in particular, are afraid they will lose their jobs to technology. But our system is not designed to replace people; it’s designed to help the dispatching staff in the communications center handle higher call volumes without losing their minds. And for fire/EMS responders, there are few things more stressful than being awakened from a deep sleep by ear-splitting alarms and bright light. That’s why we offer ramped tone and lighting systems in the fire stations, along with clear, accent-neutral dispatching, and automatic activation of bay doors and traffic signals.

3. We operate with integrity in everything we do. This should be a no-brainer. But, all too often, it's not. On a practical level, this means we'll tell the truth, own up to it if we’ve made a mistake and fix it, and more. It also means that if we come across a department that wants to implement our technology in a way that will compromise response times, we will respectfully opt out of the deal rather than compromise lives.

4. We don't just listen to our customers; we advise them. We’re not just here to collect a pay check and provide a system on public safety departments. We will take the time to understand the unique needs of your public safety department, and then provide advice about the configuration or product blend that best solves your most pressing problems and meets budget objectives.

5. We believe in gently fostering change. In public safety, there’s little room for error. Sending a unit to the wrong address when someone’s having a heart attack is bad for everybody. We believe our job is to (gently) point out procedures that are impeding the process of saving lives, and offer suggestions that help you eliminate the "disconnects."

6. We invest in our products, now and in the future. We are constantly working on improving our products, and assessing how new technology can positively impact the products. Sometimes, we find a better way to do something. And sometimes a simple suggestion from one of our customers points out functionality everybody would like to have in their system.

7. We won't sell you something you don't need. We will design a public safety dispatching and fire station alerting system that provides the functionality you need, and which can be upgraded later if you need more.

8. We build long-term relationships with our customers. We build long-term customer relationships by building efficient and cost-effective systems that work for the long-term. We’d rather take the time and build the right system for you now – not something that won’t be fully utilized for years.

9. We're watching and incorporating technological advances as we find them. Speech technology is a young technology so it’s seeing rapid advances and growth. We are watching those advances, and assessing what will stand the test of time, and what won’t. And then we’re incorporating those advances into our products.

10. We seek "Ichiban" in all that we do. This is a Japanese term that means to be "the best" or "number one." Not the biggest. But the best. That goal is woven into everything we do.

If these values sound good to you, then it’s a good bet that you are the right client for us. We look forward to working with you.
