Locution Systems, Inc. Expands Staff; Adds New Technical Support Person
Locution Systems announces Kim L. Hamilton has joined the company to provide software development and technical support services
GOLDEN, Colo., Jan. 4, 2010 – Locution Systems, Inc., a provider of advanced, automated public safety dispatching, zoned dispatching, and fire station alerting and control technology, today announced that Kim L. Hamilton has joined the company as a Technical Analyst. Specifically, Hamilton will provide software development and technical support services, as well as assist existing Locution customers with software upgrades.
Mr. Hamilton has more than 14 years of software development and customer support experience. He has experience with the following technologies:
- Operating Systems: DOS, Windows 95, 98, NT 3.5, NT 4.0, 2000, 2003 Server, XP, Linux, and OS/2
- Database Systems: DB2, DB2 Server, SQL Server
- Software/Tools: Java, Microsoft Office, Crystal Reports, Rational, Ghost Image, SQL Report Server, CVS Version Manager, XML, HTML, MS Visual C++, IBM VA C++, Python, Perl, REXX.
- Networking: TCP/IP, HTTP, DHCP, DNS, Switches, Routers, Hubs, Wireless, LAN.
- Hardware: PC setup, Controller cards, SCSI drives, Server Installation, Configuration, Data Storage.
- Protocols: IEEE-488 (GPIB), RS-422/232, Ethernet
From 1995-2009, Hamilton served as Software Engineering Manager for Micro Control Company of Minneapolis, Minn.
In this position at Micro Control Company, Hamilton served as a software project manager for MCC semiconductor burn-in equipment, worked with customers to coordinate software updates, managed software developers and coordinated code reviews, handled customer support, and more.
From 1990-1995, he was a Production Engineer For Colorado Data Systems/Tektronix, of Englewood, Colo. He was responsible for writing test software in the C programming language, managing engineering change orders, and handling new product development and customer support. Hamilton also served as a lead technician for Colorado Data Systems from 1985-1990.
amilton’s technical training includes: an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science/Electronics, from Northeast Community College, in Norfolk, Neb.; Windows NT Device Driver Training in Boston, Mass.; C/C++ Training at Red Rocks Community College, in Golden, Colo.; and supplemental Assembly Language Training at Arapahoe Community College, in Littleton, Colo.
